They need to play a twin-bill with Dread Zeppelin:

Hard to tell them apart.

One can't sing right now because of an illness, and the other one just can't sing.

Thanks for posting that. No one could make the guitar sound like Terry did.

Always a great thing when he and Peter Cetera would share vocals. Great contrast.

Yeah, would have been interesting to see how that band would have evolved if Kath had lived as they went in a very different direction afterwards. In reading a bit last night there was some chatter that he was already thinking of leaving the band as he didn't want to be a rock star. His daughter produced a documentary about him a few years ago that is on YouTube.

Headed to the MGM in June to see Kansas and .38 Special.  We saw .38 Special during the pandemic and they absolutely killed it for a crowd of maybe 400 of us...

Both bands are celebrating their 50th year, though Don Barnes is the only remaining founding member of .38 Special...

I saw Kansas in Cincy in 2018 I think it was. Not much of the original band left but still had a good time. There’s a good documentary about them floating around YouTube.

I saw Kansas at the DC Chili Cook-Off back in the 1990s. The guys were sweltering in long leather coats in the DC summer weather.

just saw KC and the Sunshine Band there last week. My absolutely favorite concert venue but parking sucks. We got routed to an overflow lot. Enjoy the show.

Yikes...I know the parking is usually slammed, but in all the times we've been to the MGM for events, we've never been sent elsewhere.  Thanks for the heads-up...we'll plan to leave for there earlier than we normally would have.

The overflow lot wasn't terrible. It was about a five minute walk or so from it to the main entrance of the resort (where ubers pick-up and drop-off), but it was very cold. Getting out was a breeze. It did take us about 15-20 minutes in traffic to circle the building and get turned away from all the garage entrances. They could have done a better job with traffic control and signage, and even opened the overflow lot earlier (you drive right past it as you enter the road that loops around the MGM).

We saw Chicago there in 2023 as well. Just a fantastic place to see a show. KC was decent for being 74 and very out of shape. He apologized up front for his voice being raspy as he said he was getting over a bug, but he gutted through an enjoyable show. He was honest in saying that if you came for the 23 year-old version of him, you were going to be sorely disappointed. :)
