The #1 country music song in the country is AI-generated:

Sadly, Knopfler really didn't break through until he was about 30. Could have had a longer career

Dropkick Murphys are planning on playing a free concert on the steps of the Lincoln Monument this weekend.  If you haven't been living under a rock you can probably guess what the nature of this concert is and also that the National Park Service is presumably under considerable pressure to shut down the permits.

I read he absolutely hated the fame of being in dire straits and just wanted to focus on making music that he liked. He's probably quite content to not have had a longer run.

we used to have a cat named Harry. Pretty much every time he walked into a room we would say "and Harry doesn't mind, if he doesn't make the scene..."

Recently learned that Knopfler hired Roy Bittan to play keyboards on Making Movies because he wanted to make a Springsteen-sounding record. You can hear a lot of Bittan's influence on Tunnel of Love.

I saw The Saints and The Hives play in London over Thanksgiving week.  Mark Arm from Mudhoney filled some very large shoes on behalf of the dearly departed Chris Bailey.  Video from their Berlin show a couple of days ago:

I have no expectations that at 75 you have retained the talents that made you a star at 25...I get it...

What I do expect to hear is the extensive catalogue that made you that star, not a geriatric Led Zeppelin cover band that throws in a medley of David Bowie and an assortment of songs I have never heard of.

We experienced this same crap with Pat Benatar earlier this year...playing half of her hits, a medley of some of the others, Neil playing "Ring of Fire", and new arrangements for many of their songs.

If you don't really care anymore, I also get it...you're entitled.  But let us know that this is going to be "An evening with WHAT USED TO BE Heart" and price your tickets accordingly.  I will surely pass regardless of the ticket price...

Saw Don McLean at the Birchmere Sunday.  I'm not really into bucket lists, but seeing/hearing McLean do "American Pie" and "Vincent" would have to be on it.
