Lowe is having an awful spring: .467 with a .125 BA.

Maybe our one "BIG" offseason FA signing is still a bit chafed about Rizzo taking him to arbitration...

Why is Elijah Green still in the Major League camp? Shouldn't he be with the minor league guys, practicing hitting?

Mini Me would much rather have the $800k saved than more OPS points.

Lowe will benefit though from the play-the-contract, maybe he'll feel better after he realizes how he'll benefit from that.

I've come to hate this ownership more than the Chicago Bears.  Hard to believe that anyone could have topped that.  Congrat's Markey...

OPS leaders (minimum 15 ABs this spring):
- Wood: 1.244
- Garcia: 1.167
- Call: 1.056
- BBIII: 1.055 (Leads team in ABs so far)
- Nuñez: 1.026
- Chaparro: .965
- Crews: .959
- House: .894
- Ruiz: .889

Lowe is having an awful spring: .467 with a .125 BA.
I’m unmoved by Spring Training as a rule. My lack of concern for Lowe is matched by my lack of excitement for any of those minor leaguers hitting well.

I only tune into Spring mentally if an injured player is returning or someone is playing in a new position. Maybe I’m too cynical.

If Ruiz keeps hitting, do we forgive Rizzo for signing him to a long contract?

If he keeps hitting (and continues to improve at catcher), then the Ruiz trade/extension are up there with Rizzo's greatest moves.

red Sox are looking for a righty 4th OF now with their illness issues. They don't want to start Anthony's or Campbell's clocks.

Did you catch the Marlins announcers? As Garrett stepped to the plate, they said that he looks like an edge rusher...

So, the 5 regulars for the Nats are the current young core, while the 4 that went to Jupiter's are ruiz and the stop gaps

Surprised we got a half day.  Seems more like only worth a couple hours.

30 in 15 day? Encouraging! Thanks imref! The Nats will be much improved this season. I have cheered for Washington teams since 1953, and this team is unusual. So many young kids! Just need a starter like Strasburg or Zmmn or Scherzer. Maybe the Fillies have peakwed. The Mets never quite get organized...they needed an ace more than they needed Soto. Atlanta will be good because they have a grerat organization.
