I don't know if it's my age, but I feel like so many of the local voices, be news or radio, that are just there every day have been dying lately

Bob Ryan, the retired WJLA meteorologist is alive and well.  Ran into him at Hopkins Ordinary in Sperryville, a B&B with an "ordinary", a cellar drinking establishment in the basement.  They brew some great beers and Bob typically swings by for a growler.  I think he still lives in NoVa near DC but has a place out there.  Friendly and approachable.

Gene Hackman passed away in what looks like a gas leak, as his wife and dog passed away as well

Wow. That’s sad. Great actor. Loved the French Connection. Think he passed on the Godfather?

I’ve seen cases like that out of Mexico that were due to application of pesticides outside. Fumes leaked into the residence. Very odd indeed.

Joe Wambaugh's "The Choirboys" was easily the most realistic depiction of cops I've ever read...at least cops in the '70's anyway...
