Obvious, then - all we have to do is change our name to 'Washington Dodgers' and they'll all be flocking here...   ;)

The Doyers have more invested in one player contract than we have in our entire active roster...

Quote
Anthony Santander’s five-year, $92.5M includes $61.75M deferred, according to a copy of the deal viewed by The Athletic. Present-day overall value by union’s calculation is $68.6M with a $13.7M AAV.

:spaz:

In other words, lower AAV than Nelson Cruz when we brought him in. Of course, several years rather than 1, so it better have been a judgment that he will not be able to start by 2027 and the last 3 years of his contract.

price seems good. Does some rehab and, if they are in it, is maybe the best acquisition in the 2d half of the year.

Assuming we're talking about David Robertson he pitched to a 3.00 ERA and 2.65 FIP last season

First time he has had a FIP below 3.5 since 2018. Buyer beware. Which is why no contender has signed him.

Kirby Yates just got 13 million. Robertson is way too rich for the Lerners' pocketbooks

He will be 40 in April. So that’s a good thing in this case.

Yates will be 38. Ain't no way Robertson is signing a 1 year deal for less than 5 million.

The latest I read was that the Cubs want him back.  Speculated $8-10 million. I don’t know why a non contender like the Nats would want him. Not really sure why the Cubs would either after trading for Presley.

Caribbean World Series is on MLB Network and MLB TV. Includes Japan this year. They have renamed it the Gulf of Ohtani.

Apparently he was also trying to recruit Alonso to play there. Welp, that didn't work too well.
