Lovin' Freeman's little things. Going 1st to 3rd on his legs after blocking Alonso on the groundball is a nice twofer

The Guardians catcher stinks. There were 5 wild pitches tonight. Anything in the dirt gets by the catcher. Somebody needs to teach him how to block pitches.

Naylor is considered a good defensive catcher. Maybe Guardians' pitchers should stop spiking breaking balls 8 feet in front of the plate

I don't know if you watched the game last night but most of those wild pitches should of been blocked. The first one instead of trying to block it he swiped at it and it went in his glove and flew out down the first base line. The announcers were very critical of him. When the catcher on the other team blocked a ball the announcer said he didn't mean to be critical of the Guardians catcher but that's how it's done.

nor did he in his 1st start. Tough to pitch for  the first time in the year in the playoffs

Indeed, let's see how he fares in his next start, that is if the Mets make it this far.

Once again the Yankees prove they are the worst baserunners in MLB. Two guys picked off second in the 6th inning.

Guardians looked pathetic last night, defensively and at the plate. That error by Rocchio... horrendous. They basically handed the game over to the Yanks.

It is amazing to me that Blake Treinen is still pitching innings in the postseason in 2024.

I had to laugh when I heard a clip of John Sterling, who came out of retirement just for the playoffs, when the second guy got picked off of second in the same inning said once again the Yankees run the bases like they're drunk.

Lol, he showed tonight something he hasn't shown since 2021. His agent is already creating the narrative he's back to the big time. Whether it's a one year contract or more his price went up tonight.

I'd be OK with that.

Quite a generation of aces with arm trouble - Bieber, Buehler, Fried, Strider, Snell . . . All but Strider available to sign.

Buehler is second time Tommy John. That just seems like a huge gamble.

discount bin! He's not getting more than 2 years anywhere, any time forward. No one wants to be holding the bag. Seems like a dice roll. Maybe a combo of him and a Eovaldi gives you a real formidable rotation? Then deal for Diaz and Lowe . . .

Not sure what Diaz you mean. Edwin Diaz had 7 blown saves and is due big bucks at least through 2027 with a club option in 2028.

Was hoping Cleveland could make it a series. I guess not. Their long drought continues.
