Matt Adams in the booth. Nats still can't hit.

Starting Gallo and Vargas is utter ridiculousness

Almost thought I’d have to start this gameday thread from my phone…while on a plane.

Davey’s been constantly hitting refresh on the tankathon site.

Not Herz's sharpest, but 1 run 5ip is a nice way to finish a rookie season

Doesn’t matter as we can’t score anyway.

Overall, nice pitching night for the Nats. I can't believe that they are about to be shut out for the 3rd straight game

Two hits. No reason to play Gallo again. And no reason for Vargas. We know what Vargas can do, and we know that Gallo cannot hit.

Good job by Herz.  Still, the paying fans should get a refund plus a credit for a game in 2025.

Note about Matt Adams in the MASN broadcast booth -- Nice guy, but he did NOT help the Nationals win a World Series in 2019.  Please don't rewrite history.
Not sure what he was doing in the booth.  He mentioned the star players in his Mexican league -- Robinson Cano and Trevor Bauer.  We didn't need to hear that.

A most depressing day to be a Nationals fan.  Tomorrow will possibly be worse.  This is Corbin's last appearance in a Nationals uniform.  Will anyone even notice?  Only if they display someting in capital letters on the scoreboard such as "THANKS, PATRICK, FOR ALL THE MEMORIES!"

Just when we thought it couldn't get any worse - 31 consecutive scoreless innings...

To be honest, I can't remember the Nationals ever being shut-out three times on-the-bounce before - or any team achieving that feat?...I'm sure the baseball stats history experts can enlighten us.

Our 2024 Nationals shouldn't be giving away a hockey jersey, this week - Nationals Tank-Top would be more appropriate...  There'll no doubt be a flourishing market, on e-bay, for the hockey shirts from Philphies fans, as they'll be the only fans in attendance at the game... ;)

At least we'll soon see the back of the City Connects... :D
