Barnes has been bad lately, but if not Barnes in the 10th, then who?
Law and Ferrer had pitched, and both are kind of gassed from a lot of use lately. Finnegan was being held for a save situation. That leaves La Sorsa and Garcia (lefties), Rainey, Salazar, Barnes, and Brzykcy. You'd be lying if you said you felt comfortable with any of the RHP options, and Garcia always makes folks cringe around here.
Salazar is probably the highest leverage RHP left, but he had pitched 2 out of the previous 3 days. I could see a case for Brzykcy, but it would have been by far the highest leverage situation he's faced in the majors. A real throw him to the wolves kind of situation. Rainey hasn't been awful, but he was bashed around a bit by ATL a week ago. He's notorious this year for only being used in low lev situations. OTOH, he has a year of team control, so you probably want to see what he has in a bigger situation against a division rival.
Barnes is basically the low lev guy at this point, #9 among the relievers, and should not be used with the game in the balance. He's old and he's not under team control in 2025. There's stuff to find out about Brzykcy and Rainey. Either should have been the guy.
