Crews can hit hard. When he makes contact, the ball knows it has been hit. He is more and more making that sort of contact. Might become an all-around good player. The OF rotation looks good, so far.

tl;dr version - cut the chase rate, increase the pull, need more balls in the air. Hits the ball hard at elite levels, not whiffing as much even as his chase rate has increased.

He already did that. This is brain dead take. There's no reason to send him anywhere until after the ASB. He's been up for all of 65 plate appearances.

Rizzo rushed him to the Bigs, and Toboni rushed him back. This kid simply ain't ready for prime time...and by the looks of things (477 MLB AB's) he may never be...

Kieboom could not field. He seemed to be nervous at 3B, and the Nats tried him for years. Crews is a good fielder, good arm, fast, and a good base-runner. when he hits the ball, as we used to say, it knows it has been hit. How hard was that drive to the OF last night? 108?

Give him time.

We're hitting enough other places in the lineup, I'm fine keeping Crews up here and rotating the DH spot with bigger hitters.

The return sample size is small so far, but I do think Crews needs a fresh start this winter.

He's going to be super two if they don't send him back down again. They've rushed him because they're playing the draft position, not the development.

Who the freak cares? You send him down, he stays down and gets non-tendered at the end of the season.

Its been three weeks. Stop rushing everything. Toboni doesnt give a freak about draft position. He and his entire staff looked at the numbers and made a decision.

He's got options left after this season, would make no sense to non tender him. Given that his swing is ok, but his pitch selection isn't, there's something to work on and something to work with. Either way, burning service time for him to OPS .550 makes absolutely no sense. Keep him in the org, but let him work this out in Rochester. Also doesn't deserve to play ahead of JY right now.

So did Bryce Eldridge. And his went over the wall. And his OPS is 300+ points higher, meanwhile his draft position was 14 places lower. And he didn’t bring Scott Boras to his signing press conference. And the Giants won’t trade him when he hits arb2 like the Lerners would.
