Poch was a great coach for Spurs during the time they were short of money because they were building the finest soccer stadium in the world. Spurs then suffered under Mourinho and Conte, a pair of big name wind-bags. Pochettino then took over Chelsea, a crazy team, and organized them. Got them winning in the second half of last season and was fired for his trouble. And was praised by everyone but Chelsea's Co-Directors of Football. Yes, Chelsea has two guys in the same role as Adam Peters and Mike Rizzo.

Pochetino is a fine coach who would have been a fine choice at a big PL team.
It's interesting to me that they went for a coach with a track record at high levels instead of the next best guy coming out of MLS. I think this is the first time they've gone with a guy with an intenational rep since Bora 30+ years ago.

Pulisic has really stepped up his game. Too bad we don’t have more like him. Now. Just stay healthy.

The Global Powerhouse cemented their place back in the top group, of the Nations League, with a convincing 3 - 0 victory over Greece. Carsley's best game, as interim manager - the success of some of the younger players bodes well for Tuchel.

For the interested - today's Scotland v Croatia game is being screened FTA on the official Scotland National Team channel, on You Tube - K.O 14.45 ET (19:45 GMT).

(edit) - Apologies - You Tube GB only...

New USMNT coach already has as many CONCACAF road wins as Berhalter.

Only watched first half.  Was just Jamaica, but the USNT looked good.  Nice to have a real coach.

I believe Faeroe Islands beat Greece twice a couple of years ago?  And on a per-capita basis, no one outperforms Iceland

So Orlando and Washington for the women’s title. Don’t know who to root for.

I always wanted Orlando's G-League team to be called either the "Woolridges" or the "Cepedas."

They were the Lakeland something a couple years ago. Now the Osceola (county) magic. They play Kissimmee. I should check out a game sometime.

Better than the Caps goalie's shovel into the net. I can't imagine what the Celtic player, Carter-Vickers, what trying to do.

With many significant players missing, on both sides, the Lionessess and Team USA Women produced the expected tactical battle - one for the die-hards...   ;)

Quote
The match itself was rather unexciting, but the USA coach somehow made the occasion anything but. The tone was set at the start of the week when Hayes hosted a press conference in a pub in Camden. Where else? She joked about the venue smelling of “fart and feet”, before pouring some pints from behind the bar. It would be unfair to label the 12 current WSL managers as dull by comparison but it is undeniably true that none of them can yet grab a room’s attention quite like Hayes can, guarantee as many column inches or stir up quite so much attention for a friendly fixture.
