To get Cavalli and up to sustained success in AAA and Henry to get to 84 innings and AAA then have them get injured before they pitch 10 innings in the majors is pretty lousy luck. The talent clearly was there. Henry, ok, he had the injury rep in college so he always was a gamble, but he was only a 2nd round pick.

Team walked 13 batters today and MacKenzie Gore leads MLB in pitches per inning.  Long way from having anything to celebrate.

You are miserable, and that isn’t at all relevant to what I said anyway.

Cavalli had the injury rep too.

Stuart is nice depth to have. Always need arms.

In his AAA debut tonight, Tyler Stuart retired the first 19 batters he faced before hitting Austin Hays with a pitch.

No slight to a good Southern Miss baseball program, still I am confused how the Mets could identify a C-USA middle reliver and like him enough to draft him in 6th round, convert him starter, watch him have a really good 2023, and watching him have another good season in 2024 decide to flip him to an in-division rival for Jesse Winker. I like Winker, didn't want to move him, but I'm surprised they gave up Tyler Stuart.

I understand his pitch arsenal make it hard to envision him as a major league starter, and I'm still going to ride that guy until he shows he can't succeed. I especially don't flip him to a division rival.

The Mets are stuck competing with the Yankees. They desperately need to make the playoffs this year.  They don’t care about prospects.

The Mets never care about prospects. That's how they spent $43 million each for Max and Verlander, plus Marte

Rizzo likes to draft first rounders with "great stuff" and athletic characteristics.  It's not bad luck that they all fail.  It's remarkable that of all the top pitching prospects and the 27 and unders in the rotation, not one was drafted before the 4th round.
