Maybe but they gave up Halliburton cause he couldn’t coexist with Fox. Now they’ve lost Fox. And they get a scored with major injury history. What draft picks did they get?

Per the below, Bradley Beal tells the Suns he will turn down any trade as he doesn't want to uproot his family.

Interesting analysis on the Luka trade from a Dallas lawyer:
https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1886148234369802535.html

He argues that the trade was a deliberate effort to tank the Mavs to make it more plausible to move them to Las Vegas. The incoming owners are so far unable to get the Texas government to agree to their plan to build a new arena and casino in Dallas. Threatening to leave could give them some leverage.

I don’t buy it. I think it was more about Luka’s conditioning and his contract. But why not offer him to other teams? The only thing that makes sense is fear of the story breaking before a trade was confirmed.

Dallas is always near the top in attendance and viewership and is a huge market. You’d think of the mavs owners wanted the Vegas franchise, the league would be happy to swap and give them the Vegas expansion team and auction off the mavs

ESPN reports that the Suns have been unable to work out a deal for Jimmy Butler, who has said he wants to go to Phoenix, because they can't unload the Bradley Beal contract (paying him $50.2 million).

Worst contract ever.

Either hornets medical staff is incompetent of their GM is another Bowden. A tanking team getting a reputation as a dishonest trade partner seems like a tough way to go forward
