TalkNats says the Nats expect to have all of their top-10 picks, plus the #12, signed and in Florida tomorrow.

I guess that they know how much overslot they needed to go to sign the 3,4,5 high schoolers so they knew what money could be given to Willits (and vice versa). I also imagine that means we aren't signing #19, the last high school draftee.

It was a pleasure to see and hear Willits during the Nats broadcast last night, especially Frandsen talking about being teammates with his dad, and Wilitts saying he looks up to Gardner.

Yep. But I'm going to wonder, if he was willing to sign for that much, could we have drafted him 1st overall and signed him to that

Looks like they used the extra cash well.

There were a few folks unhappy with the team for drafting a player that would take less than several others, even implying that somehow the money wouldn't be spent at all.  Can we dispense with that thought yet?

I think that thought process should remain.

There is a 700K difference between what Willets signed for and what Anderson signed for.

Is Anderson really a consensus pick over Willits + whatever other pick you can't sign due to that extra $700k though?

No, Anderson is not a consensus pick over Willits. BBA didn't even have Anderson in their top-3.

The Nats officially signed all of their picks from Round 1, 6-10 and:

11th Rd. – Jack Moroknek – OF – Butler Univ.
12th Rd. – Ben Moore – LHP – Old Dominion Univ.
13th Rd. – Tucker Biven – RHP – Univ. of Louisville
14th Rd. – Nick Hollifield – C – Univ. Alabama-Birmingham
15th Rd. – Jacob Walsh – 1B – Univ. Oregon
16th Rd. – Levi Huesman – LHP – Vanderbilt
18th Rd. – Owen Puk – RHP – Florida International

NDFA – Jordan Williams – OF – Univ. of Tampa

Think Pike is a long shot at best...

Multiple reports of Sime signing, including Talk Nats.  But not listed with this group.   Nats Chat also said Harmon has informed the team he will sign (episode a few days back).

Signed for 2 million. Way over slot but that was the point of this draft. Need to get the 3rd rounder as well. Not sure if we've got a tracker for the bonus signings versus pool money.

Awesome. Still looks like there is enough in there to get Harmon who is the other big reach.
