Scouting grades: Hit: 55 | Power: 55 | Run: 50 | Arm: 50 | Field: 50 | Overall: 55Feliz is a 6-foot-3 infielder with a large, lean athletic frame. The 17-year-old trains in the Dominican Republic with Raul “Banana” Valera, who also worked with Top 50 international prospect Andy Acevedo, a member of Washington’s 2022 international signing class and Dominican Summer League club in 2023. There is room for Feliz to continue filling out physically, and he is expected to add strength as he matures and his body develops. He will also benefit from daily instruction in a team’s academy once he signs and starts his journey through an organization.Advanced bat speed and pull-side power are the tenants of Feliz’s offensive approach, as his swing stays long through the zone. Armed with a solid approach and good timing -- along with solid physical tools -- there is expectation that Feliz could become an impactful contributor as he hones his game.A gamer, Feliz has been praised for his baseball IQ and makeup.

3B/SS Angel Feliz (No. 16)Age: 18 Signing class: 2024, $1.7 million (Nationals)Major League ETA: 2029Last season: Dominican Summer League2024 stats: 49 games, .310/.381/.468, .849 OPS, 4 home runs, 20 RBIs, 27 stolen basesMLB Pipeline: “His promising pullside power should play pretty quickly when he first sees pro pitching. That right-handed swing can get a bit long, so tightening that up might be one of the early focuses for Washington’s hitting instructors, but the pop alone gives them plenty of positives to work with.”
