26 and 51 this year.
What about the other 5 games?

Never mind.  Thought you were predicting the record next year.

So the Wiz have four 19/20 year old guys to build around. But really need to get one of the talented guys at the top of the next draft. Then hope you turn into Orlando and not Detroit.

I don’t think you understand how this works. They are tanking again this coming season. Trying to build a core of young players. The guy they just drafted with the 14 pick they got in the trade will likely be as good as Deni. They took Brogdon to get the picks. He’s irrelevant other than as a mentor to young players.

I understand.  You don’t give up a really good young player on a really good contract for a pick in the worst draft in history.

LOL.  He will be expensive when the team gets better.  Also stories now say he wanted to be in Portland.  How about Filipkowski beings a letter pick that you told me?  LOL.  Carrington has a better future than Deni.

Also they need to get a top two pick next year.  This actually helps with that. The team is building towards 3-5 years from now.

Deni is not terrible. He make $14 million a year for the next three years. His shooting improved last year but he’s a career 32.7 shooter on threes. Portland probably betting on continued improvement so they can flip him. As their team is going nowhere the next couple years. At this point he’s been in the league a few years. He’s never going to be an all star.

Deni improved quite a bit last year, but he's a luxury on a team that likely won't compete until at least 2027. It makes sense to trade him now when his value is highest.

Simpler way to put it.

https://www.nba.com/wizards/news/wizards-announce-2024-summer-league-schedule

Summer league schedule announced. Not sure if B Cool will play. Maybe depends if he makes the Final Cut for his Olympic team. Assume the three picks this year and Vuckevic will be there. Grudge match for Sarr and the Hawks right away.

First time I have been excited for this team in years. These guys may all fail but at least there is some hope. I really like Bub. Saw him play a little at Pitt. Good handles and a smooth shot. I also saw that in the last two drafts the Wizards have been targeting guys with wing spans longer than their height. That makes sense to me. I might have to buy NBA league pass this year.

BCool has made the French Olympic team. Well done young man.

Here’s the schedule for the men’s competition.

Sarr went 0-15 from the field yesterday but Carrington looks like he's going to be a stud.  Greg Finberg noted that through his first three summer league games he's posted 19.0 PPG | 5.6 RPG | 6.0 APG | 42.3% 3pt

Just 18 years old.

I really like Bub.  Hope Sarr was just jitters.  He thinks he is Steph Curry.

Watching the highlights, Sarr looks Jan level bad. If we don’t manage to get Flag (and the league will never let that happen) it’s going to be another cycle of suck

Nice to see B Coul get some playing time today and he did not embarrass himself.

That was the most encouraged that I’ve been about him since he was drafted.

I’ve been reading some encouraging things about how the three first round picks from this year looked in preseason. Still it’s another season to tank. And trade Kuzma. I don’t think Poole is tradeable.

LAGG for FLAGG.

Or maybe SLOW PACE for ACE.

Under on the redskins and under on the wizards haven't disappointed in years. I'm glad I bought into the new commanders hype and bet the over this year though

Let’s see. They won 15 last year.  Hard to see then doing much better. I might get some version of the NBA tv package so I can watch a little. Watched almost nothing last year. At least they have committed to young players. Hope they end up more like the Magic and less like the Pistons.

Committing to the young guys works a lot better when you have a Paolo

Very tradable contract. Last year is a team option.  It’s considered a team friendly deal.
