Play him every day for a month at 1B.
Best time to do that was two years ago. The second best time is today.

They played him at catcher

This makes no sense to me.

I don't know their complete depth chart, but I assume they are trying to get playing time for Yepez and Blankenhorn, who both probably are as good hitters as Adams. Adams won't be at 1st every day.

Yepez and Blankenhorn have been the primary DH/1B

Riley went 2-4 last night (both singles), so an off-night.

one needs to get corner OF time to give Adams time at 1st.

Riley needs to learn 1B.
If he is the Nats 1B going forward the team is in trouble. He’s only a good hitter as compared to Ruiz.

Years of being told he is going to play 1B and I think he has a total of two starts there.

I just want him to have one week. Just one. Play at first, hit everyday, see what happens. Probably nothing, but never know.

catching depth is always good. Maybe the new staff can unlock something in him. no harm no foul
