Thanks for letting us know about this interview. Finally hit a chance to listen today and enjoyed it thoroughly.  J Dub is quite entertaining and as about off the leash as you’d expect.


I also got a bit of an impression that during his career, Zim might not have been quite as strait laced as his public persona was. Not that he was ever a wild and crazy guy, but from a couple of things he dropped, he could cut loose now and then.

Several of the Nats blogs are lobbying for press passes. Assuming the team gives one to Zuckerman what justification would they have for not giving out passes to the other independent sites covering the team? WNFF should demand representation in the press box and press room.

[WNFF] has a general 3 month rule on idle threads, but as I  think about it, I think links to old threads should be posted in the first post that picks  up old threads. I agree with you that one of the best things this site has over others is the long history of topics. For example, you can click on the CJ discussion and see what's been discussed all along his career. The notorious "Fire" threads for every org leader also are good places to find observations about coaches and front office. The FTP threads are good in the farm  for digging up impressions and data along the way, too. There are better analysis sites, like Todd Boss's work, but I think our stuff complements those sites with more tracking stats and article links. I like to link to other sites' good stuff by thread topic so that stuff is not buried and is accessible. 

PB69's finding a 2005 thread on lousy commercials during Nats broadcasts prompted me to post the above in response. For a while, I've been trying to figure out  what WNFF is particularly good at, and I think one thing we do well is aggregating from the Natmosphere and keeping history by topics. It's been noted that some of the  more popular sites in the Natmosphere tend to be blogs and sites that have nice lead posts that kick of good discussions, but then they get old and lost and  tough to find or assemble  (Especially true  for nice side-bar tangents in the comments). I think our thread structure is really good at keeping  tracking historic discussions and pulling together links as well as our own thoughts.

That's the 225th inside the park grand slam home run in the history of MLB.  Last one in 1999.

It's 226, because it missed the one in 2015.  Maybe it's wrong.
