Forget Gallo. Can Davey pinch hit Vargas for Joey G?
Your reverse jinx on Joey worked!

We will take it
1st and 3rd, 1 out, need contact, plus a position for position substitution with Senzel. I would have been screaming if Vargas wasn't sent up there. The Robles pinch run made sense, too. Still have Nunez for extras as the Manfred Man. perfect managing.

With the :w: posted, we honor the memory of our friend Old Chelsea with the traditional post that tracks the Nats wins to date, in Anglophile style.

THE RACING PRECEDENTS - Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 23rd win, each season:

2018 - 12th May (41st match of season)
2017 - 13th May (35th match)
2016 - 14th May (36th match)
2012 - 16th May (37th match)
2013 - 17th May (42nd match)
2014 - 18th May (43rd match)
2015 - 19th May (40th match)
2005 - 19th May (41st match)
2010 - 23rd May (45th match)
2024 - 25th May (50th match)
2023 - 27th May (52nd match)
2008 - 28th May (54th match)
2019 - 28th May (55th match)
2011 - 31st May (54th match)
2021 - 2nd June (52nd match)
2006 - 2nd June (55th match)
2007 - 3rd June (55th match)
2022 - 11th June (61st match)
2009 - 28th June (74th match)
2020 - 22nd September (55th match)

From 5/31 - 6/24, the 2011 Nats went on a 17-7 streak to go 2 games over .500. The last win of the streak was with acting manager John McLaren, as Riggleman resigned when the Nats did not offer him an extension.

We'll take a series win every day of the week...thanks Mariners.

Although I do hope Franny isn't going to start shouting 'Light Show!' every time... ;)
