Well, at least the Caps can save the day by beating Pittsburgh tonight...

Mets tie it up at 1.  Bottom of the 9th.

Already time for Rizzo to discover a cou0ple relief pitchers that other teams have thrown away. Was it Garcia last year? Like Garcia and La Sorsa?

Mets finally win one. But doesn’t look like the Marlins will.  Combined NL East record probably 8-22 after today.

40 minutes since the last post for a game that’s still ongoing. Looks like a long season ahead.

I miss having a speedy CFer who could get on base.

Young doesnt belong in a starting lineup. Not if you cheat and are late to 96

No one is listening to me. Yes he hits HR’s but he is very streaky. He had an awful April and did well in May and June until he was pushed back in the batting order. July and August he hit around 242 and less than .200 in September.

You know, I kind of feel like Lane hits HR’s but he is very streaky, awful April and okay in May and June last year until he was pushed back in the batting order. July and August he hit around 240, then less than 200 in September.

Yes I know but I haven’t seen a credible rebuttal from virtually anyone.

Let me add to this. The streaks cited are all small sample size.  The season as a whole is not.  Thomas was 114 OPS + last year.  A good bit above average. Seven games this year is small sample size again.  If he’s not hitting by the end of May the worry.  Lineup placement does not matter either.

Lane has been stinking it up but last night with runners on he did hit two line drives. Problem was they were right at ems.

Yes, it's the Hickey shuffle.  Develop more and more pitches while you have no idea where they're going.   But don't worry, Rizzo said we're about to experience 8-10 years of winning baseball after experiencing 8-10 years of he and his staff having no idea how to develop a pitcher.

Was I hearing things, or did Carp actually say that CJ 'got great wood onto that...'? Really? Well, if you say so, Bob... :D   ;)
