When the Nats get crushed early, it is good to have H-burg game on MiLB TV. Crews and Pinckney can hit. Hassell seemed overwhelmed last night. House needs time.

Ended up going today, they came back late and broke it open. Didn’t look like Morales was getting loft, but ended up with a key hit late

I was there too.  Baysox didn't exactly help themselves with their defense.

Harrisburgs lineup is not very impressive. All the good ones have either moved up or haven't gotten there yet.

Morales, Wallace, Lile, are the most interesting players right now, Lara for the pitchers. They've gotten off to bad starts, but Glasser and Shuman would be others who I'd be interested in.

This is going to be how it'll look for the next few years.  The draft and international signing strategy has been deliberately top-heavy - WAY overslot HS players like Sykora and Dickerson sucking the bonus pool out of filler drafted in rounds where the depth normally shows up, and the same in a few international classes - so there are going to be some rough rosters the next few years.  The Thomas trade helps the system a lot even if neither of the lower minors guys is ever a serious MLB contributor.

Ugh. We got used to some good baseball in Harrisburg last season and earlier this season. But, lately? Not so much with so many players moving up. Last night was a perfect example - Harrisburg lost 3-0 to the Fightin’ Phils. There were a few bright moments, but it was mostly just plain bad baseball.

On the bright side, last night was Wet Nose Wednesday. Lots of dogs. In our section alone there was a Golden, a Great Pyrenees, an adorably scruffy grey terrier mix, a Dogue de Bordeaux, a Chihuahua, a tiny ancient poodle, a Pembroke Corgi, and a medium size black terrier mix. The team also had a frisbee dog team do their thing after the 4th inning. So at least there was something fun about the game. It certainly wasn’t the baseball.

I've always wondered about this. You say the dogs were in your section. Dogs poop where they plaese. It's also not always firm, sometimes very runny. How does this work when that happens, or does it?

I’ve been to lots of dog games (and brought my own when we had dogs) and have never seen a problem. Loose stools in dogs tend to be caused by sickness or stress. People with sick dogs don’t bring them to games, and people with sensitive dogs who are easily stressed don’t tend to bring them to games. So loose stools are generally not an issue.  And for the regular poop, there are designated grassy areas and the teams provide plenty of poop bags. Most dogs are house trained enough that they just don’t randomly poop in the stands.

And now I have the long sought answer. Thanks.

Harrisburg finishes 30-39, 5th place out of 6 teams in their division.
