Looks like no moves for tonight's game. Winker has the night off with his back, so Robles is in right, Meneses at 1st and Senzel is DH. :spazz: At least Young is playing.

How many days until Call can be re-called? The only other minor league OF on the 40-man is Stone Garett.

I think 10, but there is a rule where you can call a guy back quicker if it is to replace a player put on the IL. When Winker was pulled for back spasms, I thought they might IL him, in which case Call could be recalled.

Traded to the Cubs. Coulda offloaded Robles ...
you'd have thought that, with a name like Tyson, the Lerners would have been all over it.

Rutledge is in Chicago as the extra player for today's DH, he's available for either game.

Rutledge wasn't used. Does this mean someone will be pitching on short rest or is there an off day coming up before the rotation is cycled through again?

Edit: Wow there's another off day tomorrow? I guess the rainout makes it feel like it's been more than there really have been.

Ah, didn't actually look at the box score and went to bed before the game ended. Just knew he didn't start.

Just an abomination of an old, retread offense.    Worst lineup imaginable

It's the lineup that was planned at the start of the year. Lipscomb was up only because Gallo was hurt.

That doesn't justify it.  This has become a joke.  Half these hitters couldn't make the Marlins roster.   Wake me up when they're ready to stop manipulating Wood's service time.

Dump the useless free agents that fill out the Nats roster.

Flippage is a mistaken way to improve the Nats. Of this year's wave, only Rosario looks like a player another team might want. Winker, signed for $2 million, has not hit since he was traded to Seattle a few years ago. Maybe he is hurt, and has been, but he is hitting the same .220 that he hit in 2022 and 2023. Senzel has never been much, although he had a decent rookie season. He signed for $2 million.

And Gallo...

I'm only pointing out what is. not what ought to be.
