Wow.  58 to 84   Quite a range

The 84 included 15 Spring Training wins, so, it's just 58 to 82...but still...

Lotta Sunshine up in here...even at 58...  ;)

So, we gonna be good finally or what? :)
I’m thinking goodish, 88-74 and making it to the NLDS :woop:

0 - 162   Keep the expectations low, so anything above is a bonus... ;)  Who knows how things are going to pan-out - just keep supporting those Nationals... :D

65-97. Not a 100 loss team, but a step back from the overperformance last year.
slight tweak - 67-95. Beats the projections but a step back from last year's record.

Is someone going to put together a "2024 season predictions" thread where we all guess who will be our team MVP, our all stars, W-L record, first callup, etc?

I think the only thing anyone really cares about is when the young guns might be called up.

Alabama?
almost.
Went to a town this weekend called Florala that I have been to many times before, and yet it was the first time it clicked-it’s Florida and Alabama combined! I’m used to FloraBama but I thought Florala was quite clever too :)

might be fun. You could put together some topics and start one. Leave it open until 4/1 when the home opener is.

Well, I'll give it a shot. I'll dig up one from previous seasons.

After April, still sticking with the projection of 68 wins.

Lots of pleasant surprises on the basepaths and with more aggressive pitching from the starters the last couple weeks.  Also good to see Luis Garcia coming along.  But the deadweight on the roster is a problem.  Rosario and Nunez would not make any other team's MLB roster.   The playing, and keeping, favorites based on contract or Rizzo trying to look like a genius with Rule 5s and bargain bin pickups continues to be a drag.

Current win percentage would have them at 72, one better than last year.

I feel pretty comfortable with my 68-94 prediction at this point...

The over/under on Fanduel at the beginning of the year was 66.5. I bet the over so hopefully they'll get at least 67. I predicted 76. I don't think they'll get that.

Where the team stands so far:

MIL (6) 4-2
PIT (7) 1-2 with 4 to play

I edited it to account for today's win, but that still leaves 37 games, of which all but 9 are against teams with something to play for.

I wonder if the Cubs have considered that the Nationals may hold the key to their admittedly slim wild-card hopes, since while they have several teams to get past, they also get to play us 7 times.
