Hopefully not for a while. Just an effortless looking delivery. Reminds me a lot of Pedro.
a lot bigger than pedro. Pedro, of course, was a guy Dr. Jobe told the Dodgers that he would blow out his arm due to his motion and that they should trade high for him when he was young.

Langford struggling so far: .240 / .286 / .606 in 25 ABs with 6 Ks and 2BBs. Just one XBH.

.606? You are using OPS not SLG? Standard slash line uses AVG/OBP/SLG. OPS can be seen from that pretty easily. I take it the SLG is .320 (ISO .180)?

mlb.com uses average/OBP/OPS unless at the top of the player pages.

After tonight's game, Langford is at .241 / .303 / .310 for a .613 OPS. Still just one XBH.

Max Clark made his season debut for the Class-A Lakeland Flying Tigers tonight. Same place he ended up last year (and struggled in 11 games).

Rhett Lowder opened his season at High-A with a 4IP, 5K, 2H, 1BB, 0R performance.

Langford has an OPS of .602.  He’s no Joey Gallo.

Kind of wish some of those Crews 1/1, Skenes 1/2 calls had been right. I'm not saying this as down on Crews, it's just we have outfielders, we have centerfielders, and it's just easier to come up with corner outfielders than guys like Skenes. Crews can be a cf, but with Wood, Hassell, Vaquero, and even Young and potentially Pinckney, that's a deep position.

I preferred Crews to Skenes, but that was mostly because I'm assuming the Pirates will lose Skenes for 1.5 years at some point.

When I looked it up. 3/4/5 were all called strikes. Oof.  2 was a ball.

Angel seems to have real problems with cutters and probably sweepers too.  Possible article there on what pitches fool Angel the most.

Yea I saw that.  Was confused because the pitch up high was also red so there were four strikes. Turns out that was a ball.
