They both hit the ball very hard. Soto gets better elevation right now, but literally they are 4th and 5th in average exit velocity among hitters with over 150 PAs - Wood at 94.9 MPH, Soto at 94.7. It's just you can't push the comparison too far. Soto's 1st exposure to the majors, 1st half of 2018, he was already showing signs of complete Soto, while Wood is much more projection. Soto had his Ks below 20% with the high walk rate, had 9 HRs over 176 PAS (wood is a bit more than 150), and had .900+ OPS.
