The Indians trading Harry Chiti to the Mets for a player to be named later arguably belongs on the list just because of the peculiar circumstances. Chiti hit .195 for the Mets, so they sent him back to Cleveland as the player to be named later. He never played another major league game.

How about the worst free agent signing when the player changes teams. So not a Stras situation.

Rendon probably isn't the worst but he's gotta be up there.
