Nationals v Braves, Game 3
« Topic Start: September 24, 2023, 01:53:18 PM »
As the 2023 Season comes towards its close, as Nationals fans we can draw comfort, from the certain knowledge, that our 2023 Nationals have made a significant contribution to some of the best records in MLB. Unfortunately, they're all for the opposition...

And today we have the potential to experience the rare delight of seeing the Nationals getting trounced twice, on the same day. Isn't it fun?... ;)

inning in.

Rutledge for the Nats.

Cece Winans for the Barves.

Couple of recent call ups.

it's interesting to compare relegation leagues to US leagues.  As EN probably has picked up, teams that are on the bottom, "rebuilding," will play young talent, even marginal "prospects," to see whether they can have a role next season. In comparison, bottom table teams would tend to play their most competitive sides to avoid relegation.

Rutledge is worth watching. Kid was a first round pick.  Let's hope he lasts more than 2 innings.

at 106, that double by Alu might have been his a hardest hit in the majors.

quick check of FG shows that, per statcast, his max ev was 104.8, so yes.

Let's see Millas with bases juiced now

A lead!

But CJ, my fantasy team needed a homer, not a SF.

Rockville James Wood, Frederick Trey Lipscomb in the booth with Bob.

Nothing too wow about what they said. They did enjoy the stretch in AA when everyone was there - Jacob Young, Crews, house, Trey and Wood. At that point, they just went out and played.

I don't think he'll be a strike out guy in the majors. 2 hits, 2 walks, 2 Ks through 4. Liked the hook for the last K.

If hes not going to be a strikeout guy, he cant afford to fall behind like this

or 2nd.

Truth? don't you think he's the best combo of D at catcher and O among Ruiz, Adams, Pineda, and him?

Millas should catch. Yes, Millas is the best combo id hitting and catching. And catcher the the most import position player...consider Yogi.

Thomas has stranded 4 RISP this game and is now batting less than.270. He has been awful in September and I think it is fatigue.

Rutledge figured out the ump is giving the strike at the top of the zone. Pretty awesome K of Acuna.

With Irvin on the DL, I think Rutledge goes one more time this year.

We need a quick inning from Harvey so he can pitch the ninth. Don’t want to see Finnegan in this game
