I don't pay for MLB.TV (just AtBat) but it appears at this point that I can watch the game... just hope the audio comes up too.

Powell is an interesting guy, with his age and how quickly they moved him through the system this year, I wonder if he is a guy that gets a legit look in Spring Training to make the opening day bullpen. What is his arsenal?

Fastball, slider guy. Mid 90's fastball, plays up because of his delivery. Wipeout slider. But that was before the injuries. Not sure how that impacted his stuff.

They moved him quickly because he missed like two years. Guessing TJS.

IIRC, he was drafted as a reliever and was thought to be one who would move quickly through the system.

Wood is local too. It'd be awesome if they both were regulars here.

If I were to pick one of the minor leaguers who would start next year day 1 in the MLB lineup, I think I lean more to Lipscomb than Crews at this point. There's a huge opportunity at 3rd, and I could easily see him outplaying Garcia or whatever we have at 1st.

I don't get it. With two games played by the Scorpions Lipscomb is batting .111. Went 0-4 last nite and didn't play the game before.

he's a decent hitting prospect who plays multiple positions and had a successful minor league season. the fact that he's gone 1 for 5 and 0 for 4 in two games doesn't change that in the slightest.

He went one for five previous game. So 1 for 9.

admittedly, this is optimistic for a guy who has been mostly league average in terms of hitting and has only progressed to AA. I just think the holes in the MLB lineup present an opportunity. I'd like to see him take some walks while keeping reasonable K% to round out his game.

My mistake. I forgot that he did play in the first game and went 1 for 5

Herz walks the first guy, strikes out the next two, and retires the fourth batter on a groundout.

Park is empty.
