Oh good, we're bringing Garcia in to pitch. I was concerned we might keep this game close.

Garcia has really surprised me by being effective more often than not.

Why keep Mason Thompson?
Because he is young, cheap, and flashes really good stuff

Do you bench him now , send him down or let him play for the remainder of the season to determine whether he has a slot next season

Keep starting Kieboom and then release him.

in 14 (now 15) appearances with the Nats, he's given up runs in 4 appearances, and only once more than 2 earned

What a shock. The team gets a lead, and the reliever the following half-inning struggles.

Young looks good.

I’m a fan of his also but did he have many HR’s in the Minors this year?

He had a few with Harrisburg. Six: https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=young-001jac

For comparison, Hassell has had eight: https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=hassel002rob

Thanks I was wondering how many he would hit in a full season. I would be happy with 10-12 with a higher OBP than he has now.

KieBUST  had 4 K’s  and earns the Golden Sombrero. I actually feel badly for him as he is pressing and knows his dream of being a MLB player is evaporating. His AB’s are painful to watch.  Davey will do something to help him at this point but I don’t know what.  Perhaps give him some time off. It’s tough to watch someone spiral out of control.
