Zach Day's rehab
« Topic Start: July 07, 2005, 01:50:31 AM »
Zach Day today in earning the win, pitched 5 innings, allowed 5 hits, gave up 1 run (earned), walked 1 and had 4 strike outs. I would say the signs are good regarding Zach Day.

Now the question is, if he continues to improve, do the Nats still trade him, or put him in the 5th starter spot and trade one of the pitchers on the current active roster?

They're already committed to trading him.

just a matter of when and where and for whom.

I don't know if I would do it, but I know Jim's gonna..

What worries me is that Day might get traded to the Rockies for Preston Wilson and while the Rockies potential have a solid number 4 or 5 starter, the Nats would have nothing past this year. I'd rather he gets dealt for someone we can have past this season.

I wish I knew Bowden, but ever time I think I have him figured out, he pulls something off that forces me to change my thinking.
