They need to start lassoing Ruiz when he reaches first.

This is big if we can extend the lead enough to just use the B guys tonight
Kind of set up for Thompson and Ferrer if they are clean. R_R_L are Thompson's mandatory 3, then it's S-R for ##8-9. After that, it's L-S-L at the top of the order for Ferrer, then Bell.

painful at bat. 4 run lead now. I don't know if there's a guy up yet.

I'm not sure how much worse an appearance could go without a homer.

kept him in for the last 2 righties, then going to the lefty for the top of the order.

I mean, you can’t just leave him in when he can’t get anybody out (technically got one guy out)

I mean, after the missed K, next pitch was the triple. I get having him in there for the next righty, who bombed one for a ground rule double. That leaves 1 more batter, then a tough stretch of lefties. Do you let Thompson pitch to Berti, go to Garcia without the platoon advantage against a pretty good hitter, or go to a righty to either get out of the inning or face Chisholm and Soler?  I can see what Davey did. Alternative might have been Machado for Berti and hope he gets . . . a triple play.

I assume Garcia for Arrraez and Bell, then probably Machado? hope you can hold off one of Weems or Harvey for the 9th.

EDV with the single. Just a homer and triple for the cycle.
