Finney pitches a great one...and the Nats swept! And five out of six since the trade deadline.

With the :w: posted, we honor our friend Old Chelsea with the traditional post that tracks the Nats wins to date, in Anglophile style.

THE RACING PRECEDENTS - Comparative dates on which the Nationals notched their 49th win, each season:

2016 - 1st July (81st match of season)
2005 - 2nd July (80th match)
2017 - 3rd July (83rd match)
2012 - 7th July (82nd match)
2014 - 9th July (89th match)
2019 - 13th July (92nd match)
2015 - 18th July (88th match)
2018 - 22nd July (98th match)
2011 - 22nd July (99th match)
2013 - 25th July (102nd match)
2021 - 1st August (105th match)
2007 - 3rd August (109th match)
2006 - 4th August (109th match)
2010 - 6th August (110th match)
2023 - 6th August (112th match)[/b]
2008 - 28th August (134th match)
2022 - 8th September (138th match)
2009 - 11th September (141st match)
---
2020 - finished 26-34

In 2022, the Nats 49th win honored our all-time favourite Anglophile, marking the passage of Queen Elizabeth with a win.  G-d save the King.

Alright, no more Vargas or Chavis.   Get the young guys playing time

I'm not there with you. One has to play along with Alu, at least until Baker is up.

Vargas helps the pitchers with his defense. I like him out there for Gore, Gray, Irvin, and Adon.  Anything to make them comfortable.
