Via Tobey Schulman, YoYo is playing in the Puerto Rican winter league.

What would that be equivalent to...maybe Junior College ball?

Its the second most challenging winter league, so probably equivalent to a weak Triple A.

Mashed in the PRWL: .395   .422   .674, 43ABs, 10Ks, 2BBs, 1HR, 2-2B, 3-3B

Will be interesting to see what he does in camp.

Wondering about the three triples.  He isn't known as a speed merchant is he?

No, but he hits a lot of stuff gap to gap.

Went yard in the Caribbean series semi-final last night (445'). Hitting .395 in winter ball.

Meanwhile Law lists him as a prospect who has fallen off.

I’m not writing him off entirely, but Yohandy Morales, the Nationals’ second-round pick in 2023, hit .249/.330/.401 as a 23-year-old in Triple A with way too much swing and miss, and he’s now primarily a first baseman.

Does Law ever actually watch baseball, or does he go entirely off stats? If the latter (which has always been my impression of him), what does he add?

The reason I ask is that Morales looks like a guy who's one small or two tweaks from being a potential big bat.  Yes, there will be some swing and miss, but it's 2026.

I donk know the answer but Law lives in or near Wilmington.
