Via Tobey Schulman, YoYo is playing in the Puerto Rican winter league.
What would that be equivalent to...maybe Junior College ball?
There’s a world where abimalec Ortiz and yo-yo are our starting dh and 1b in some order
Mashed in the PRWL: .395 .422 .674, 43ABs, 10Ks, 2BBs, 1HR, 2-2B, 3-3BWill be interesting to see what he does in camp.
1HR?? Doesn't bode well for1B.
Wondering about the three triples. He isn't known as a speed merchant is he?
I’m not writing him off entirely, but Yohandy Morales, the Nationals’ second-round pick in 2023, hit .249/.330/.401 as a 23-year-old in Triple A with way too much swing and miss, and he’s now primarily a first baseman.
Went yard in the Caribbean series semi-final last night (445'). Hitting .395 in winter ball.https://x.com/MLBPipeline/status/2019975817322021134?s=20Meanwhile Law lists him as a prospect who has fallen off.
Does Law ever actually watch baseball, or does he go entirely off stats? If the latter (which has always been my impression of him), what does he add?The reason I ask is that Morales looks like a guy who's one small or two tweaks from being a potential big bat. Yes, there will be some swing and miss, but it's 2026.
