At this point, I’d be ok waiting 4 weeks to maintain his rookie status for next year to gain the draft compensation potentially.  He’s not dominating to the point Wood was.  Getting 5 weeks to finish the season in the bigs gets his feet wet and he then should be ready to come to camp next year ready to win an OD CF spot.

The work is done at Double A. Nats decided to forgo that. He's wasting time in Triple A

looks like bad BABIP luck last month. looks like about 67 balls in play. Should be about 22 hits with 2 HRs 22 for 87 would be ~ .250

If our 2025 Opening Day CF is Crews-Young-Wood, I'm a very happy camper.

Going cheap on 1B/DH may dim that enthusiasm, but I'll take the positives where I can.

I agree any Crews decision should have nothing to do with an outside chance of getting a draft pick. In MLB draft picks are such a crap shoot.

2 weeks for a very good shot at 31st or 32nd pick. It's not messing at all with development. Heck, he's not even crushing AAA.
