Still Zimmerman was signed on June 18th.

Sure, but the draft was also a month earlier. The point is, it's unlikely that he fails to sign, and wether it's now or in two weeks won't really do much for his development in the system. These two weeks aren't the difference in him being promoted up a level or to the bigs this season.

Looking back after one season, if Skenes were available, he would have been the next coming of Stras as I mentioned with my original post. I wonder if we'll have buyer's remorse not taking Wyatt Langford instead of Dylan Crews. Time will tell. Jacob deGrom did say the ball coming off of Langford's bat is next level.

Makes me wonder if the Nats are even considering Roki Sasaki presently? I've had him stashed on my bench in a deep fantasy league for three seasons now. Finally getting to unleash the beast - I just hope he's with the Nationals when it happens.

Some of us have had buyer's remorse about this since Day 1...but, as you say, time will tell...

I think long run there's no way Crews matches Langford's power. Wasn't supposed to. i still think Crews will hit and runs well, and his defense looks very good. One of the things in Crews's favor was he could play CF. I think he loses some of his value over Langford if he's playing right. If Crews is just a corner outfielder, then Langford might have been a better pick for a power-short team.

No purpose in worrying about Skenes.

I'm not ready to write off Crews as wrong pick after 18 months. Give it a bit more time.

Yeah, seems ridiculous.
