Oh, Canada!!!  Argentina next  - you can do it!

As for the GP, it's another 'get-out-of-jail-free' job. Says a lot that the total highlights package, for the first half, was a Swiss defensive tackle... But, I suppose, it's the result that counts... ;) Pleased for Saka - redemption for the  Euro '20 final...

Started when it was played after a game at Euro '20, and became the 'song-of-the-tournament', for GP fans. The FA were keen to encourage it, in the hopes it would replace 'Vindaloo', which the FA have always hated. No chance of that... :D

Here's a reminder... ;)

I like Vindaloo for an England football song. It has the spirit. Here is the the Netherlands:

Is it still Spain without Pique and Iniesta?

[edit: apparently so]

There's going to be a new Ibiza joke about Foden and scoring by the end of this  :P

Exciting first half, where have these guys all been for the past 3 weeks?

England might not win but they will get some awards. Academy awards.

Started out like a 5-4 game but now now neither side wants to lose.

First up - well done Canada; no disgrace in losing to a Messi inspired Argentina. Unfortunate that they conceded relatively early - clearly knocked them off their stride..

As for the GP - at last, Southgate shakes things up. You see - Kane can be substituted. FIrst time the men's team has made a major final played overseas.

And, of course it was a penalty... (stop sniggering, at the back...)      ;)

And what did the GP come out to, pre-game warm up - Vindaloo!...  ;) (hopefully, we can put that 'Sweet Caroline' nonsense behind us...).

That goal by Ollie was quite the shot.  No disgrace winning that way.  That said I will probably bet on Spain.   :hysterical:

Koeman lost it by ignoring Micky Van De Ven, who sat on the bench the whole game. VDV is the fastest player in the Premier League and a skilled defender, as well as a dangerous attacker with a powerful shot. DeVrij blundered on Watkins's shot.

Ah well, Vindaloo!

With the Final, beckoning, it's one of those times when you stop to marvel at how eleven men in shorts, kicking a ball around, can so completely captivate a nation... ;)
