Here's the Euros draw. Pretty favorable for the Global Powerhouse, tough but do-able for Scotland, and the 'Group Of Death' for Wales, should they qualify from the play-offs.

Surprised to see Manchester City at the top of the Premiere League table. Maybe this year will be a close race.

So what’s happened to Germany?  They seem a real mess.  Losses to Austria and Turkey.

A combination of factors - the Bundesliga not being what it was, a lack of young managerial talent, and holding on for far too long to a 'golden generation' (it was as though Schweinsteiger played until he was 96... :D ).

And bigger (market) teams seem to be selling for something near Redskins-Harris prices. Tod Boehly, part owner of the LA Dodgers, bought Chelsea for about $5.3 billion USD in 2022. And Chelsea's owner, Abramovich, a Russian billionaire, had been elbowed out when Putin invaded Ukraine.

Now you see why UK sports pay-channels are so expensive - £6.7 billion ($8.4 billion) just for the domestic market!  :shock: (think about the relative size of the US market, for leading sports rights...).

Ouch! Spurs lose again by a goal after scoring first. Desperately need Van De Ven and James "The President" Maddison. They are out injured, and won't return until sometime in January.

Meanwhile, the Redskins / Football Team / Commanders new owner is part-owner of Crystal Palace. Does that mean that Washingtonians should pay attention to Palace?

Yes. Man City always improves around late March, so they should be in it to the end. Dramatic draw with Crystal Palace, the team partly owned by our own Josh Harris. We would call it a "tie game", but I am trying to speak British English when I talk about English. Manchester City has not been winning so much this month.

Spurs had almost pulled themselves together as they beat Newcastle and then Nottingham Forest. They had serious injuries to a pair of stars plus suspensions to several defensive players. Playing good attacking football in the win over Forest, and then two of their previously suspended players got suspended again, one of them at the80th minute with a 0 - 2 lead. Ugh. But they will perk up as "President" James Maddison and Mickey Van De Ven return some time in January.

Lots of 'Whistlin' Dixie' , over here, from the national leagues and governments. However, it's difficult to see how any action they might take wouldn't just be struck-down, by the Court, as anti-competitive.

Most discussion has focussed on the ESL - however, it is the ECJ's ruling on media rights which could have significant outcomes. The major PL clubs have always coveted having control over their own rights, so it may see the end of collective agreements.
