Greg Finberg looks at the Beal trade, one year later:
last #2 pick for the Wizards was Unseld.
Need another one of him. Long overdue.
A big man who doesn’t shoot from 3? That may be the one position this draft has
wiz apparently the favorites to sign OKC's Josh Giddey
Looked it up. 31 percent career three point shooter. Great. A wing who cannot shoot
He'll fit right in with our volume shooter who shoots 32% from 3
Just need to grab all the offensive rebounds they can. Simple.
If only we had a guy who would be perfect for that under contracthttps://www.basketball-reference.com/players/g/gaffoda01.html
I liked Gafford and he is a good fit for the Mavs. But he seemed to have some conditioning issues and couldn’t play more than 20 minutes a game effectively. And limited offensively. If you notice his minutes went down in Dallas. And numbers got better.
They went down because presti held tight at the deadline
They went down because Dallas has an elite rookie center
