He did. He slid short of the bag, but popped up and stepped on 2nd as he started to 3rd.

.  Garcia on 1st broke for 2nd as Meneses took ball 4. Catcher made a poor decision to throw down, ball went into center and Garcia took 3rd. Some question whether Garcia touched 2nd.

Smith single with the bases loaded against a pitcher who has no control

Luis is a baserunning savant. I’m sure it was all sleight of hand. Or feet.

You know you're getting old when they start talking about a player whose dad pitched for the Marlins.

So is finnegan out of the closer role or was this about matchups?

I guess it's not as big a deal with Bryan Harvey, since he ended his career with the Marlins. Worse when you see players like Vlad Guerrero and Mark Leiter whose careers started in the 1990s and have sons in the majors now.

And if Back to the Future were made now, Marty would be going back to 1993.

Harvey needs to add a high fastball to his repertoire. Keeps throwing in the same area.

You guys all wanted Finnegan out as closer and Harvey in.  Got your wish. Not so easy to close is it?
