Dumb question: we say outer edge and inner edge of the strikezone in relation to the hitter. How do we describe the sides of the zone in relation to the pitcher?

OK, does it seem that Irvin prefers glove-side to both right-handed and left-handed hitters? It seems like a lot of his pitches, including the ones to strike out Hosmer, go there.
