Pirates Series. April 28-30
« Topic Start: April 28, 2023, 01:42:50 PM »
Pirates are the hottest team outside of Tampa.  Hoping their balloon starts to burst this weekend.

So far Nats are:

7-6 on the road. Which is usually playoff worthy.
2-8 at home.

Have to figure there will be some regression on both sides of the equation.

if we win this series this team needs to start asking itself if this is still a rebuilding year or if we should look around for help at 1B and another starter.

not really.  That becomes an issue in June or July.  We aren't stripping prospects out of the system yet when we aren't even as close or "hot" as the 2021 team at this point. Dickerson would be the big add for now.

Yeah, I don't want even lower level prospects traded to improve our chances of winning this season. Not worth it when it would be a massive upset for this team just to reach 70 wins.
