The seller cancels the sale if they can’t get the tickets. It happens all the time, this is just a really blatant example

I bought Maryland/USC tickets last May from Stubhub and haven't gotten my tickets yet or heard anything. The game is this Saturday.

This seems extra strange because no details have been provided about seating and prices.  Have they sold season tickets yet?

If they play there I'm making a trip up north.

The Browns and the Cardinals used to share the Browns ballpark back during the 154 game seasons. Rays and Marlins could probably share The Fish Tank.

The bigger question: does the Philadelphia/Kansas City/Oakland team still exist?

Even the A's are spending in free agency, unlike this sad franchise.

I think it's an unspoken secret that the only reason the A's are spending is to avoid a grievance from the MLBPA.

I will guess the Nats avoid a grievance by saying "We are paying Strasburg" and quoting the CBT number rather than the current roster payroll.

Edit - Nats are revenue sharing payers, so I will guess that gets them out of the budget grievance pool.

High ticket and beer prices will do that.

But they're on the verge of becoming a negotiating chip for the MLBPA for something approaching an across-the-board salary floor next CBA.  To barely outspend the Marlins, and to treat a potential 6th straight losing season with zero urgency and the same bargain bin and lottery ticket signings, is not good for the sport and is easy fodder for any union rep.

What's needed before construction can start.  Few bureaucracy and permitting steps, but looking likely to happen now.

About time we’ve done something worthwhile.
