sorry to misconnect. 2 pairs of Boston fans with me, so I wasn't going to inflict that on you. I'm bad enough

That was the weirdest feeling game I've gone to in years. I found my hands clapping when Ruiz and Garrett doubled and pulling for Nats escapes from rallies. I wrote off the Ruiz thing by saying to my friends that he's a long term piece and he's on my fantasy team, so I have to root for him (and his double left the Nats down 3-2, so not fatal). My head and my friends kept saying "well, a win means more to the Sox b/c they are wild card contenders," but I had a hard time cheering for them against the team I follow more day to day. I'm a little rusty on the Boston roster and knowing how they acquired their releiver Bernadino and the infielder Reyes, for example. My friend from high school / summer camp watches them regularly on MLB TV so just was more on top of their recent play. I was able to enjoy Jansen in the 9th just because that was an overpowering performance from a potential HOF vet, but I really feel "such mixed emotions"* at that game that I'm probably getting rid of my tickets tonight.
* "such mixed emotions" - Any Sara Silverman fans out there would get the reference.
