Downs down, vargas back.

Urena's a jerk, but he throws 95 on a starter pace and has exactly one decent secondary while sucking as a starter.  On a minor league deal, seems like a no-brainer to tell him he's a reliever and if he doesn't like it, AAA is where he will stay.  His stuff should work from the pen, and it's where he goes if he's interested in having a baseball career anymore.

who is activated for the roster slot? he was just 27th guy for double header, right?
I thought they brought up Adon for that? Or was that bad info?

i don't know, he was up for a day. Adon was indeed the 27th man for the DH.

No, they brought up Adon and Abbott, and only activated Abbott as the 27th guy for the second game.  Adon was never activated.

Well, he hit 30 home runs in 2021. He will fit in Rochester.

Was really good from 2018-21. Started to drop off last year and terrible this season.  Now worse than Nelson Cruz or Luke Voit.

He was bound to cool off some. Let’s see how he does over three or four months.  Could be a bench piece going forward but usually to do that you need defensive versatility.  Not sure if he can play other positions?

kuhl activated, harris sent down.

bullpen lining up as finnegan and harvey for high lev and closing, edwards slotting in on favorable match ups, thompson, erasmo, and machado for middle innings, with kuhl and ward for long relief.

Machado DFA'd per Dougherty.  Unclear who will be called up to replace him.  Dougherty speculates they want a lefty after all the situations this weekend where righties were brought in or left in to face Schwarber and Harper.  Candidates would include Ferrer, who is on the 40 man roster, or Baldonado or Doolittle.

Finally.

What about picking up Zach Plesac and running a 6 starter rotation? Or moving Irvin to the pen?
