Adon was a late scratch in Rochester. Speculation is that he’s coming up for a spot start after today’s long delay.
Per Zuck: Davey considering going with a six-man rotation when Kuhl returns from the DL. Irvin will get at least one more start.

He hasn't pitched well, and maybe he could get some sort of extended medical leave because his wife is going through cancer treatment. I'd guess it is hard to do your job when your spouse is literally undergoing chemotherapy treatments.
The Nats can be supportive of Mrs. Kuhl in Rochester. In fact a lower stress environment may not be the worst thing for him.
I’m sure she would love to transfer her chemo treatments to a different city and medical team. Would be a a great PR move for the team! We lived with Corbin for a few years. I’m sure we can live through a few more Kuhl starts. The team is not making the playoffs. The only important thing is development of the young players and going to a six man rotation would seem to help with that.
Espino has a 2.76 ERA in Rochester so at some time we will see him again.
Yep. We have actually been pretty fortunate in terms of pitching injuries this season. At least so far.Im also hoping Rutledge continues to perform and gets a spot start or two with the MLB club. Having never thrown more than 100 innings, I imagine he will also have an innings limit of around 130
Why would she transfer? She was diagnosed during the off season which would indicate she’s receiving treatment where their off season residence is located.

Doesn’t matter, he’s a 6 year vet so you cut him and move on. Keeping players on the major league roster because of their back story is nuts.

Well yeah she probably would stay in DC if he went to Rochester. Maybe Rizzo can drive her to chemo. Do you think mental health wise she would prefer to have her husband around? Who cares if the Nats win 67 games instead of 65. Plus it would be every six days if a 6-man rotation. Like I said before if we put up with Corbin from 2020-22 we can put up with Kuhl for some of this year. If he continues to suck after a few more starts then they can make a decision. You guys are acting like we are in the playoff race and this is some major stumbling block. Or that he is blocking some prospect.
Thinking back, didn't the Lerners already freak over a player, or a player with a family illness? Years back. I can't remember the circumstances clearly...
