I always make sure I have the Monday morning, after the SB, booked as leave... ;)

Anyone going to bet against Mahomes as the most likely to achieve the three-peat?... ;)
Iggles year coming. Send me some money and I will bet.

Ok so on the first SF touchdown it was not pass interference because the block before the catch were behind the line of scrimmage.  Would have been nice for them to explain that on the broadcast. Romo did have some good comments here and there.

If only Bill could have found another system QB.

saw an analyst last night note that the play the Chiefs used to win is the same play they used twice to score TDs against Philly last year. It's nearly impossible to defend against in a man-to-man defense.

Indeed - as always, credit to the great Coach Reid for the gameplan. It's something of a 'go-to' play for him - it was also the famous Chad Henne play, when he was the back-up against the Browns.

For all the folks trashing Shanahan for his SB and NFC championship losses, that's how Reid started out.

The Taylor Swift effect: Yesterday's Super Bowl drew 123.4 million viewers, that's second in history to only the 1969 moon landing.

Last year's game drew an audience of about 115 million.

93 of the 100 most watched shows in 2023 were football games.

what were the other 7?

OF course, the US was maybe 2/3 the size of what it is today back in 1969.

You live under a rock or something?  Americans care way more about the royal family than they ought to.  Been that way at least as long as I've been alive.

Disappointing to see VW still peddling their '1949' myth, during the SB ads.

Americans don’t remember history

Neither does VW - it took them 53 years (1998) to acknowledge that they used 15,000 slave laborers from the Arbeitsdorf concentration camp, and then made it as difficult as possible for survivors to obtain due redress.

Shooting at the KC victory celebration.  One dead and several injured. What a f***ed up society we live in.

The off-season calendar is now out, so what do we wish for our respective teams?  For the Chiefs Staff there should be two priorities...

1 - offer the Dolphins whatever they want so that Tyreek is again a Chief (alright, so it won't happen - we can all dream...)

2 - offload Gabbert. He looked a complete waste of space on the (thankfully) few occasions he was called upon. Especially frustrating that, in appointing him as back-up QB, we released Buchele, who would have been a much better fit.

And in a completely unexpected development, the Derrick Thomas Award (Chiefs MVP for last season) has been given to some guy named Mahomes - how many of us saw that coming?...   ;)
