i assume the house will be spectacular at first, but will quickly fall off a cliff with Gore still having months to pay on the rent.

Nightmare of a rental

Not Nats but three games tomorrow.  As best I can tell the Nats games will be on MLB tv with the opposing team broadcast if you have that.  No idea if they blackout Nats games in the DMV during the spring?

Tough to say.  My free subscription (courtesy of T-Mobile) runs out March 1 but I'll log in on Saturday and see if the Nats/Cards game is available in NoVA.

They will black it out because MASN could have broadcast it if not so cheap!!

That's what I will do. Forget MASN and look for the opponent's broadcast.

The annual "Victor Robles, with limitless talent, knows he must play like a serious ballplayer" article.

Zuckerman seems to write weightless stories.

Watched the MLB network feature on Dom Smith and got fired up about him regaining his mojo. I’m sure it won’t happen but at least fun to watch.

I think the rule change with the shift may help out some hitters, who might be able to build on that

I have a "no boo" rule but he may fall into the Wander Suero category where it is the only sane reaction to hearing his name.

Generations of Washington baseball fans were taught never to boo one of the Nats, no matter how they bungled and blundered. Not even Herb Plews during his error-streak. Dad taught me just to keep quiet or maybe groan, so I groan every time anyone mentions Robles. Remember that Robles' "magical" 2019 season was less than Adam Eaton's.

Does any other MLB team want Robles enough to offer a few bags of stale airline peanuts? Rizzo could not "flip" Robles at the trade deadline in 2021 and 2022. Is there a chance this year?

If he were released, somebody would give him a shot as a defensive replacement and an emergency outfielder, especially if the corner OFs were defensive liabilities, but I don't think anyone would give you anything of value back for him in trade. Maybe a team spots a specific flaw that they think they can fix to unleash the raw power more consistently and get him to hit the ball harder.

Bally Sports Midwest (no relation to Collin Balester) will carry Saturday's game, plus 14 other games. Sigh...

Goldschmidt and Arenado and a few other starters in the lineup so will be a good test for Gore.  Wainwright pitching for StL.  Expect lots of falling at his curve from the Nats young players.

Chip Carey now doing the Cards games on TV. Does not get much better than that/s.  Had to turn the volume way up to hear anything. And then the commercials are way too loud. Does not seem to be any Nats radio broadcast to synch it up to. Oh well.

Pllease tell me Gore isn't hurt and was only scheduled to pitch one inning?
