I have been spending a lot of time of late down the Feuerschwanz rabbit hole. The band was formed with the goal of having fun in a genre, medieval folk rock, known for bands who take themselves way too seriously. They describe their style as "Mittelalter Folk Comedy" (Mittelalter is German for medieval). 

They are not actually a cover band - most of their songs are original - but they do a lot of light-hearted metal/rock covers of pop songs. For example, "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!" from ABBA, with a video featuring Germanic warrior women capturing and tempting a group of monks.
