After Fritz and Tiafoe were eliminated, it was great to see some of the lesser known American men advance.  Korda looked good until his last match and the wrist injury.  One of the ESPN commentators stated that Korda has a ceiling of #5 in the world!  I'm excited to see the rise of the Shelton,  J.J. Wolf to some extent and Tommy Paul.  After beating Shelton, Tommy Paul is now ranked #18.  Shelton-Paul was a fun match to watch.  Shelton's serve is unbelievable.

American women were a little disappointing, especially Coco Gauff and also Pegula.

It looks like 2023 could be a breakout year for American mens' tennis.

I think 2023 will be a strong year for American men
Did not see the Shelton/Paul match.  Hope it’s a breakout year but they usually fade in the clay court season. We shall see.
