he's not even playing regularly at Fredricksburg, probably too soon.  I think he's a fringe guy who got drafted as a favor to Crews.

1-1 after 2. I missed most of the 1st, but Young had a nice 2d- 2 easy flies and a k looking. Starts 3rd with a popup

LF Elijah Nunez has gotten on a couple times viaBBs. Not much hitting either way. Still 1-1. Younggiven up 2 hits and 2-3 bbs. A few ks, starteda nice dp.

My friends and I took off after the 9th when Lynchburg tied things up off Pogue, a very big reliever. FredNats won it in the 9th after Armando Cruz singled to drive in the Manfred Man, Quintana.

Quintana is playing first. Charitably, let's say he's adjusting to the position.

Cruz actually had a nice night at the plate, with contact and contact dropping. The other guy to have a nice night was Nunez, the left fielder. Dugas got hurt at one point late so Brown moved to 2nd from DH.

Young had a very good start - 7 IP, 2H, 2BB, 9 Ks, just one unearned run. No hits after the 1st.  I didn't see the velocity because I didn't spot it on the scoreboard until late.

2023 season is in the books: 65-63, 35-30 in the 2nd half and missed the playoffs. Down from 75-55 in 2022.
