“When I look back, the thing I remember most after throwing my first pitch was just my nerves,” Tetreault said. “After throwing my first pitch to [Ronald] Acuña Jr. and he swung and missed at it, I felt like I almost threw up. Like, ‘Oh my god, I can’t believe that just happened.’ ”...Tetreault, 26, is more focused on just getting back onto a mound. The fractured scapula last season followed an oblique strain at the end of spring training in 2021.This offseason, Tetreault took an allergy test to see how his body responded to certain food groups. He learned he had a dairy intolerance, so he cut it from his diet. Cheeseburgers — specifically a “double-double” from In-N-Out — were the hardest sacrifice. But Tetreault believes the change will allow him to stay healthier; he also said he feels the strongest he’s ever been.
Roster: https://www.milb.com/rochester/rosterMatt Adams is on the roster, so I guess he took the offer of a minor league assignment. Yadie is there, as is "Mr. Red Wing" Jake Noll.
Rochester is light on Nats top 30 prospects. Hassell and Pineda are still unassigned/injured, but you can guess they'll be assigned to rochester. Irvin, Cronin, Ferrer, and Alu (on IL but assigned) range from 20 -27 in the MLB.com list of NAts prospects, and they are all on Rochester. https://www.mlb.com/nationals/news/where-nationals-top-prospects-are-starting-2023-season?t=mlb-pipeline-coverage
Shouldn't Hassell be assigned to Harrisburg? Or did I miss something?
He’s injured again.
I meant after he was healthy again. JCA implied he would likely be assigned to Rochester.
I would assume Hassell goes to Harrisburg. He only played 27 games there last year. He finished strong but overall numbers were not great. I'd expect him to start in AA and move up in a month or two if he's playing well.
Rochester plays at 1:00 today. Tommy Romero gets the start.
